A recent discussion with my wife and a buddy at work, followed by a quick Google search has all but confirmed my suspicions. I along with countless others agree that Coca Cola at McDonald's tastes far and away better than anywhere else. A recent trip to the new QT in Raytown, has some of the best coke I have ever tasted, and a shot of Rooster Booster or coke "Freezoni" is enough to make your toes curl.
But something about McDonald's coke still outmatches it. I could delve into the obvious, the carbonated water to syrup ratios, or the actual "official" Coke dispensing machines we all know McDonald's receives, or the temperature or measured ice levels. It could very well be an addictive additive that's similar to the smell of the french fries. It really doesn't matter anyway. The secret will most likely stay locked in a vault that even Ethan Hunt couldn't crack open. That's fine as long as both companies agree never to change it, and to keep the Coke flowing in it's current state...
